Why We’re Producing The Show
We believe most business leaders like you have great success stories to tell and insights to share. That is why the team and I are producing The Business Development Show… to highlight success stories from local business leaders and entrepreneurs. We’re passionate about producing the show because we believe your unique perspective can help encourage others who are possibly facing the same kinds of challenges you overcame when you were first getting started.
What’s In It For You?
Being a guest on the show gives you the opportunity to tell your story, promote your business, build awareness, announce a new product or service, recognize someone special and more. You will have an opportunity to talk about your business but it’s not meant to be a sales pitch for your services. It’s about helping and inspiring others by sharing your wisdom and your story.
Thanks Brian. I appreciate the opportunity to share the story of Carlin Aquarium Systems – John Carlin
How The Business Development Show Works
The way that the show works is that we will schedule a time that’s convenient for you and then come to your location to shoot a casual conversation style interview. We will send you some sample questions in advance so that you feel comfortable and totally prepared and then we will ask you about your successes and some of the early challenges that you were able to overcome when you were getting started in business.
We Keep It Fun & Enjoyable
The key thing to keep in mind is that this should be fun and enjoyable for you. If you have fun and interesting anecdotes to share then be sure to include them in your interview because people LOVE to hear funny situations we’ve all had to deal with from time to time. It makes us human.
Your interview will only take about 20 to 30 minutes so we’ll be in and out without disrupting your day.
You are the best, Brian Duvall! And you make it so easy to be in front of the camera. Thank you for selecting Better Building Works LLC for this episode! – Monica Rokicki-Guajardo
How Much Will This Cost?
By now, you’re probably thinking that this sounds too good to be true because video production costs an average of $1,000 per finished minute. So if a 3 minute video costs about $3,000 then my 15 to 20 minute interview should cost about $15,000 to $20,000.
Well, the good news is it’s not going to cost you anything because you’re a guest on our show. Now, how are we able to do this? Simple. We have sponsors who make this possible because they believe in the mission of the show to help you tell your story to the world.
We’re making these videos available to you at no cost. We will send you a link to download the edited version of your interview and we’re also providing each interview to local chambers of commerce and economic development organizations to help showcase the community.
What You Should Do With Your Interview
We encourage you to post your video on your website, in your blog, on your social profiles like Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter. We also encourage you to send out a press release letting the world and news media that you were a featured guest on the show and then link to your interview on your website. This helps drive targeted traffic to your site and help improve your SEO (search engine optimization)… meaning it helps your website rank higher on Google.
What Does Smart Business Development Get Out Of This?
Besides getting sponsors for the show who help support it financially and with important resources, we get brand awareness and community goodwill for producing the show and giving away the interviews to our guests. Of course, we hope that you will see the benefits of leveraging video as a business development strategy. Then when you’re ready, you will keep us in mind and want to work with us to help leverage this power tool in achieving your own business development goals.
Future Plans For The Show
Because we’re making the show with internet viewers in mind, we have a global reach through YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Twitter and our own social profiles and websites. But we’re not stopping there. We are also applying to become iTunes Publishers so our show will be available on iTunes with millions of subscribers. But wait, there’s more! We’ve also applied to be Roku Channel Partners so our show will soon be available on Roku devices world-wide with more than 22 million subscribers in the U.S. alone.
So, as you can see… we have BIG plans that reach way beyond local markets. And the best part is that you get to benefit from all we do as a guest on our show.
